Review for Carillisa's Shrimp Tacos

Even though I had this at Carillisa's house I wanted to try this out myself so Todd could try them; he was in Washington for this meal. I was in town on my shopping day so I decided to go to World Spice in Seattle and try some fresh curry powder and paprika, a nice touch but not competely necessary. I also stopped at Fisherman's Terminal and got some fresh shrimp. They were smaller, precooked, peeled, deveined and cheeper so the choice was made for me. It turned out soooo yummy! I didn't have any avocados but, everything was perfect. The cabbage had a nice crunch, the spice married well with the mayonaise, and the tomato mixture was fresh. I didn't give any hype to Todd so I could get an honest answer which was, "Oh my gosh, these are so good." There were no leftovers and no, I didn't even offer them to Kali.

I have tried another version of a shrimp taco that is an entirely different flavor and I LOVED! I have to go back to the restaraunt and eat them again before I try to come up with a recipe, but I will do so soon!

I loved those shrimp tacos, but I must tell you the Mexican version, at least the ones at "Squinas", are pretty gross. It's too spicy for me but most of all - they don't "depoop" them! Regardless of the flavor that just grosses me out!

We tried them last night. Well, sort of tried. We had all of the optional alternatives and a couple more. Regular vinegar vs white wine v.; Cherry tomatoes (needed to be used)vs Romas, and Limes vs Lemon.
I might purchase some safe Costco shrimp for ME for the leftover sauces.
We loved it though - even Lauren. :)
