Amaretto Sauce


Pam's Amaretto Sauce

Pam is a co-worker of mine and this sauce is the best caramel sauce I have ever had!

Combine in a tall* sauce pan:

2 Tbsp of butter (pam prefers no salt)

¼ Cup White Karo Syrup

1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar (she prefers Golden over the light or dark brown sugar)

1 Cup Heavy Cream

Cook on medium head until it boils and stir occasionally for 8-10 minutes

*it will boil over in a pan that is too small or shallow and you will have a big mess, so be prepared.

Remove from heat and add 2 Tbsp of Amaretto


Makes 2 -2 ¼ cups of sauce.
