Country Red Potatoes

This dish didn't turn out too bad, thus it's appearance on this blog. I had some leftover Country Gravy from the night before and a box of red potatoes that needed to be eaten. So, this dish was born.

6 med. to large red potatoes
1 1/2-2 C. country gravy
1/2 C. sour cream
1 1/2 C. med. cheddar cheese
garlic powder
salt and pepper
favorite Savory seasoning mix

Wash and cut up potatoes into large bite-size chunks. Mix the sour cream and gravy together with potatoes. The measurements are approximate on this, but just make sure there's plenty of sauciness compared to the potatoes. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper and whatever other seasonings you think you'll like. I used a season blend called "Savory", but I really haven't got a real clue what was in it and I don't think it matters. If you have one you like, add it. Put mixutre in a large glass baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for thirty minutes, then turn oven down to 350 degrees for another 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are completely cooked. The cheese becomes part of the potatoes and is quite yummy.
